Former UFC bantamweight champion Ronda Rousey has not been inside the octagon since her loss to Amanda Nunes at UFC 207 last year. Before that, the former champion faced a loss to Holly Holm at UFC 193. Coming off of her losing streak, UFC President Dana White claimed that the fighter may never return to the sport.
Now, it would appear that a return may be in the works for the former champion. As reported by MiddleEasy, in the Sunday Morning Rumor Mill, undisclosed sources claim a Ronda Rousey comeback fight is “still up in the air.”
The report claims that her return was initially targeted for this July’s International Fight Week, but is now likely set for a late fall pay-per-view.
Most recently, Rousey received an actin role in the television series Blindspot. Besides beefing up her acting career, the former champion was recently challenged by former Invicta FC champion Cristiano “Cyborg” Justino to a tag team match in the WWE.
