Film star Steven Seagal is a 7th-dan black belt in the martial art of Aikido. Still, the movie legend is one of the most critiqued martial artist to date.

UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan has thrown his hat into the proverbial ring. He thinks Seagal isn’t all that.

Within an episode of the Joe Rogan Experience podcast, Rogan gave his opinion of the 7th-dan black belt.

While watching clips of Seagal performing technique demonstrations, Rogan said

“This would never work against a trained fighter, never…not in a million years. You get a NCAA division one wrestler, he’s going to shoot on this guy and this guy is going to be on his head in seconds. It just doesn’t work.”
