The Top 5 Joe Rogan Mishaps

Joe Rogan is the voice of the Ultimate Fighting Championship and when he says something, there’s a slight chance the casual followers of mixed martial arts will simply follow his word blindly.

That’s why when Rogan goes off on these rants that are based around his opinion and fans take them as facts, more diehard fans are left scratching their heads wondering exactly what Rogan said. Here, you can check out the top five Rogan mishaps in UFC history:

5) His Fascination With Brock Lesnar
It should come to the secret of nobody that whenever Brock Lesnar is brought up on air, Joe Rogan will likely go off an a tangent about how much of a freak athlete he is. Rogan has described him as, “a freak of a man, the high end of the genetic spectrum,”. Lesnar would later be proven right when it was revealed that Rogan had failed his drug test for his “UFC 200” fight with Mark Hunt.

4) Questioning Jose Aldo’s Body Physique During UFC 194
It was one of the biggest fights of the year; Jose Aldo was going to unify his championship with rival Conor McGregor in one of the biggest pay-per-views in recent memory. During Aldo’s epic entrance, Rogan thought he had pressed the “mute” button on his headset so he could speak freely with his producer. What he didn’t know is that his headset was live, and fans could hear him asking, “Look how smooth his body looks … Aldo looks nervous as f*ck too.” Oops! Think Rogan was insinuating something here?

3) The Many Times Rogan Calls Out Goldberg’s Bloopers
Make no mistake about it… Joe Rogan and Mike Goldberg is the best duo to ever sit next to each other on commentary for the Ultimate Fighting Championship. Just because they’re the best doesn’t mean they’re perfect, however. Rogan has been known to point out Goldberg’s mistakes on-air, which makes for a unique presentation as play-by-play commentators usually let it blow on by.

2) Joe Rogan vs. Mike Goldberg’s Feet Warmers
As previously mentioned, Rogan was never one to shy away from the fact that Goldberg made mistakes live, while on-air. He also wasn’t one to shy away from making fun of his partner for wearing foot-warmers at “UFC Fight For The Troops 2” in 2011 when he said, “You got feet warmers? This motherf***** I’m working with has got feet warmers. Are you sh****** me? We’re at a fight. We’re at a cage fight on a military base, and this a**-hole has feet warmers.” Classic Joe Rogan.

1) Using Podcast-Friendly Terms On A UFC Broadcast
As well as serving as one of the finest play-by-play men in mixed martial arts history, Joe Rogan also spends his time making people laugh on stage as a stand-up comedian. Rogan sometimes uses unorthodox terms that can be viewed as improper for live air, like calling a deep gash a “goat’s vagina” or saying someone was trapped in a “rape choke”. “He’s got the rape choke in place and just dropping left hands all over Tim Boetsch.”
