No. 4 ranked UFC strawweight Rose “Thug” Namajunas is riding a stunning victory from last weekend’s UFC on FOX 24 event. Featured in the Kansas City, Missouri’s co-main event, Namajunas took out Michelle “Karate Hottie” Waterson.
Rose Namajunas and Michelle Waterson were set to face off in the night’s co-main event. After an intense first round, Namajunas sank in a rear-naked choke in the second round for a decisive submission victory over the “Karate Hottie.”
The victory pulled Namajunas out of a recent loss to Karolina Kowalkiewicz at UFC 201. Michelle Waterson’s two fight win streak was cut short by her recent loss at the UFC on FOX 24 event.
Now, Rose Namajunas has gone to Instagram to share a photograph from earlier days. The strawweight contender said, “#throwback to baby thug Rose on meinecke Ave with my milwaukee bestie @cpatrice_ ?❤️ #8thgradegraduation.” Alongside the caption, Namajunas offered a picture of herself from back in the day.
