Diego “The Nightmare” Sanchez has done much to earn his fighting moniker through his years in the sport of mixed martial arts. As reported by MMA Junkie, the fighter has faced 1,117 total head strikes in his career with the Ultimate Fighting Championship.
Sanchez is ranked in at third most strikes to the head in the promotion’s history, with Tito Ortiz ranking in the top spot. With his history of scrappy, excitedly intense performances, Sanchez has garnered the fourth most “fight of the night” bonuses in the promotions history as well.
