Ultimate Fighting Championship is ready to bring one of their biggest rivalries to date to the forefront as UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt and challenger TJ Dillashaw are set to coach the upcoming season of “The Ultimate Fighter”.
Garbrandt’s and Dillashaw’s rivalry may be one of the newest in the octagon, but their rivalry dates all the way back to their first days together at Team Alpha Male. Garbrandt brought the fight to Dillashaw in training one day and Team Alpha Male coach Justin Buchholz claims that Garbrandt knocked Dillashaw out in practice one day.
There was no animosity then, but once Dillashaw made the transition to Elevation Fight Team to follow Duane Ludwig, that’s when the rivalry began. Garbrandt, a Team Alpha Male fighter through and through, claimed that Dillashaw was simply a snake in the grass and could not wait to show the world what he could do against TJ.
He will have his opportunity to prove himself on a grand stage when they collide in the co-main event of “UFC 213” later on this summer. But first, Garbrandt and Dillashaw will coach opposite of each other in “The Ultimate Fighter” and you can catch the brand new viral ad below:
