UFC on FOX 24 went down tonight, with flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson making his tenth title defense against Wilson Reis in the night’s main event. Johnson tied Anderson Silva for the record of consecutive title defenses.
However, the main event was not the only bout of the night to snare the attention of the Kansas City crowd. No. 3 middleweight contender Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza suffered a TKO loss to Robert Whittaker in the night’s event.
Robert Whittaker held off Ronaldo “Jacare” Souza for the initial round, before getting a TKO over his opponent in the second round. Whittaker’s victory at UFC on FOX 24 has brought the fighter’s winning streak to seven victories.
Ronaldo “Jacare” Souz has not suffered a KO or TKO loss since his bout with Gegard Mousasi in 2008 at Dream 6. You can watch Whittaker’s epic win over “Jacare” in the video below.
