Former UFC fighter and mixed martial arts veteran Fabio Maldonado has been rushed into surgery following a recent undisclosed accident. While it is unclear what caused the injury, the fighting veteran’s wrist is badly lacerated.
Yesterday, Fabio Maldonado took to Instagram to share a few graphic pictures of his injuries and to let his fans know that he was heading to surgery. As translated by Bloody Elbow, Maldonado said “I lost a lot of blood, but thank God I’m already headed to surgery. I’m being rushed to surgery here in Sorocaba. I lost a lot of blood, but I’ll be okay, if God wills.”
Fabio Maldonado recently pulled himself out of a four fight losing streak. The mixed martial arts veteran earned a first round TKO victory over Abdul-Khamid Davlyatov at Fight Nights Global 60 in March.
Now, it would appear that Fabio Maldonado is doing better, as the fighter has posted a picture of himself post-surgery. With his right hand wrapped and closed, the fighter let his fans know that everything will be okay.
