Former UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre is making his return to the Ultimate Fighting Championship promotion after over three years away from the sport of mixed martial arts. However, the fighter is set to challenge middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping for the title.
With Georges St-Pierre having no experience in the middleweight division and immediately gaining a title shot against “The Count,” some fighters have become a little irked by the situation.
Among them, current welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has gone to TMZ Sports to admit his distaste for the former champion’s choice to jump into the middleweight division.
Tyron Woodley told TMZ, “He got away right before I got the chance to get my hands on him. And now you come back, and you don’t come back to your own weight class, man? I can’t really respect that.”
