The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) hosted its most recent big event over the weekend. UFC 211 went down inside the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas on Saturday. Among the night’s fights, Frankie Edgar provided a dominant performance in the octagon.
In a featherweight bout, former UFC lightweight champion Frankie “The Answer” Edgar faced off against rising mixed martial artist Yair Rodriguez. The fight was cut short at the end of the second round, following the former champion’s dominant performance.
Frankie Edgar took down his opponent early on. Striking him from the dominant position on the ground, the former champion dealt some serious damage to his opponent in the first two rounds. After the second round, officials determined that Yair Rodriguez was unable to continue.
After Frankie Edgar’s TKO victory over his opponent, the fighter decided to give some words of encouragement to Yair Rodriguez. In the UFC 211 Post-Fight Press Conference, the former champion said “I think he’s just got to get his game more complete.”
