Antonio Rogerio Nogueira has suffered an injury and will not be competing on June 25.
Nogueira was scheduled to fight Ilir Latifi at a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City.
Latifi announced Nogueira’s withdrawal from the fight via Twitter on Wednesday. The UFC has yet to officially announce Nogueira is off the card.
“Very sad to hear that Lil nog is injured and has to cancel the fight, you are a great fighter and I wish you a fast recovery!” Latifi tweeted.
After announcing Nogueira’s injury, Latifi called out light heavyweight contender Corey Anderson.
“So my thoughts are that if Corey Anderson is ready to take the fight it would be a great show for the fans, let’s do this!” Latifi wrote.
This UFC Fight Night event will be headlined by a pivotal lightweight fight between Michael Chiesa and Kevin Lee. The event will also feature former UFC Welterweight Champion Johny Hendricks continuing his run at middleweight when he fights Tim Boetsch.
