Rising boxing star Michael Conlan believes UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has a chance to defeat Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match.
“I have trained with him (McGregor). I’ve seen him work on the bag, and I’ve seen how he moves in the ring. I was impressed,” Conlan said. “I’ll admit I was impressed. I’ve seen MMA fighters do boxing skills, and they’re OK, but they’re not going to be a boxer. But Conor, he has the skill.”
Conlan went to express that McGregor has the power to give Mayweather major problems in a potential boxing match.
Conlan is an amateur world champion in the sport of boxing. He is also a training partner of McGregor’s.
McGregor has agreed to a deal to fight Mayweather in a boxing match. However, UFC President Dana White is still trying to make a deal with Mayweather.
