Former UFC fighter Brian Stann gave UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley a gift to help him prepare for his upcoming fight against Demain Maia.
Both Stann and Woodley work as UFC analysts for FOX. After Maia defeated Jorge Masvidal last Saturday at UFC 211, Stann gave Woodley a backpack to help him get ready for Maia.
The backpack is a reference to Maia grueling grappling skills. For much of his fight against Masvidal, Maia secured a backpack position with Masvidal standing on his feet.
Maia has earned a shot at the UFC title after going on a seven-fight win streak. His impressive streak also includes wins over Neil Magny, Gunnar Nelson, Matt Brown, and Carlos Condit.
Woodley is coming off a successful title defense against Stephen Thompon back in March at UFC 209. He won the title in July by knocking out former champion Robbie Lawler.
