Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight champion Chuck “The Iceman” Liddell has had some time away from the sport. The fighter retired after a three fight losing streak in 2010. The former champion faced a first round knockout loss to Rich Franklin, before retiring from the sport.
As of late, the 47-year-old former UFC light heavyweight champion has been sharing social media posts of himself in training. The former champion appears to be keeping in great shape. The posts have begun a round of speculation. Could “The Iceman” be making a return?
Then, longtime coach to Chuck Liddell, John Hackleman came forward on the Anik and Florian podcast. The coach admitted that under the correct circumstances the former champion may take a fight.
Now, “The Iceman” himself has come forward with his thoughts. When asked by TMZ about the chances of his return, the former champion responded that he is still in retirement. However when asked for if he will have another MMA fight, Liddell responded “We’ll see.”
