UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor has picked up a major new sponsorship deal.
Beats By Dre is the newest sponsor of the UFC champion. The headphone company announced the sponsorship via Twitter.
“Humble beginnings. Dangerous intentions. Welcome to the Beats Fam, Champ,” the company tweeted with a photo of McGregor.
In the photo, McGregor is wearing boxing gear getting ready to make his debut in the sport.
McGregor has agreed to a deal to face Floyd “Money” Mayweather in a boxing match. However, the match is not yet official. UFC President Dana White is currently trying to make a deal with Mayweather to make the fight happen.
A potential McGregor vs. Mayweather boxing match could be the biggest spectical in the history of combat sports. With that in mind, Beats By Dre may not be the only major company trying to hop on the McGregor bandwagon.
