Dana White On What Jon Jones Could Be Doing With His Career, If Not For All His Troubles

UFC President Dana White recently shared his thoughts about where former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones could be if he stayed out of trouble.

White shared his thoughts on Jones after attending the boxing match between Canelo Alvarez and Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. on Saturday night.

“If Jon Jones had been doing what he does all along, the guy could be fighting heavyweights right now,” White said. “He could have broken the record for most title defenses as a light heavyweight. He could be fighting heavyweight right now, and would have made God knows how much money.”

For the past year, Jones has been suspended from the sport for failing a drug test prior to a title fight against Daniel Cormier last July. Jones’ suspension will retire in July, and he is expected to fight at the end of the month.

Jones holds the record for being the youngest UFC champion in history. He won the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship at age 23. Jones also holds the record for most light heavyweight title defenses in the UFC with eight.
