Back in March, Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) light heavyweight contender Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa faced off against Corey Anderson. Following the fight, Manuwa decided to call out a professional boxer. Now, it would appear that the UFC president is on board with the idea.
Jimi “Poster Boy” Manuwa scored a first round knockout victory over Corey Anderson at UFC Fight Night 107. Following the performance, Manuwa called out boxing phenom David Haye. Now, UFC President Dana White is showing some interest in the potential bout.
In a recent interview with Bloody Elbow, Jimi Manuwa explained the situation. “Myself and Dana spoke to David Haye on a conference call while I was in Vegas. We’ve crunched pay-per-view numbers and Dana is very interested in the fight.
“The fight between me and David Haye will probably happen either before the end of this year or early in 2018 because of his injury. It will possibly be a cross promotion between Hayemaker Promotions and the UFC on pay-per-view.” Manuwa said.
