Former UFC Bantamweight Champion TJ Dillashaw says Justin Buchholz, the head coach of Team Alpha Male, told him it was a good idea to leave Team Alpha Male.
Dillashaw talked about his departure from Team Alpha Male during a recent episode of The MMA Hour.
“He (Buchholz) was the one that told me I made the right decision, that me leaving was the best thing, (because) Faber was running that team into the ground,” Dillashaw said.
“He was there, in my corner, being my friend, told me what I did was the right thing, and now he’s going to do nothing but back Team Alpha Male because they’re putting money in his pocket.”
Dillashaw is a coach on the current season of The Ultimate Fighter: Redemption. He is coaching opposite of UFC Bantamweight Champion Cody Garbrandt, who is accompanied by all of Team Alpha Male.
Dillashaw is scheduled to fight Garbrandt for the UFC title at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas.
