Dillon Danis Issues Multiple Excuses For Losing To Jake Shields

Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt Dillon Danis has released a statement following his recent loss in a grappling match.

On Sunday, Danis lost to former UFC title challenger Jake Shields in the main event of Submission Underground 4 in Portland, Oregon.

Danis lost after three overtimes. Shields won the match due to how quickly he was able to escape Danis’ submission attempts.

On Monday, Danis posted a photo of him grappling with Shields along with a statement about his loss.

“I show up to any rule set- Gi or No Gi and will take my losses like a man,” Danis wrote on his Instagram page. “Jake survived a 10 min onslaught of my submissions to beat me in the overtime round by 8 seconds for fastest escape, fair play to him he is a legend. I still believe in myself 100% and this will not define me. You will all swallow your words keep basking in a other man’s struggles I’lll remember everything.”
