Heavyweight mixed martial arts legend Fedor Emelianenko has not crossed paths with the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in his storied career. But, the fighter has graced some of the most hallowed stages in the sport.
A veteran of the now disbanded Pride promotion, Emelianenko has spent much of his fighting in Japan. Now, in a recent interview with Russian source tass.ru, Fedor Emelianenko revealed that things may not have always been on the up and up with drug testing in Japan.
Emelianenko revealed that he always passed drug tests in Japan, as he does back in the U.S. However, he found that every single fighter seemed to pass the drug tests in Japan. In the interview, Emelianenko explained that he always passed his Rizin and Pride doping tests.
But, no one else ever seemed to fail them. To Emelianenko, this seemed to suggest something. Every fighter in Japan is clean or they are not.
