Firas Zahabi, the coach of former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre, believes St-Pierre should only fight either UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping or UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor.
“I think he should fight Conor McGregor or Michael Bisping,” Zahabi said while talking to MMAjunkie.
“Michael Bisping will give him two titles, and if he fights McGregor, it’ll be the greatest fight in UFC history.”
St-Pierre has not fought since Nov. 2013. He temporarily left the sport and relinquished his welterweight title after defending it for the ninth time.
St-Pierre was expected to fight Bisping for his middleweight title. However, the UFC recently canceled that fight due to St-Pierre not be able to fight until the end of the year.
Despite the UFC canceling the fight, Bisping has recently said he would like to wait until the end of the year to fight in order to let his knee heal after getting surgery. He would also like to honor his original agreement and fight St-Pierre.
