Women’s MMA pioneer Gina Carano once compared cagefighting to having sex.
Carano compared the two actives while doing an interview with Conan O’Brien on his late night show.
“If you think about it, it’s a very real interaction between two human beings,” Carano said. “It’s like you have an energy, and I have an energy, and it’s an energy that no one else is going to share.”
Carano’s last MMA fight took place in 2009. She lost to Cristiane “Cyborg” Justino for the Strikeforce Women’s Featherweight Championship.
Prior to her last fight, Carano was undefeated in her MMA career. She picked up wins against notable names including Rosi Sexton, Julie Kedzie, Kaitlin Young, and current Invicta Bantamweight Champion Tonya Evinger.
After fighting, Carano has found success acting in movies. She has appeared in such films as “Deadpool” and “Fast & Furious 6”.
