GSP Says Anderson Silva’s Stock No Longer High Enough To Warrant A Fight

Former UFC welterweight champion Georges “Rush” St-Pierre is looking to make his return to the octagon. The former champion was initially set for a title shot against middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping. However, the fight has since been cancelled.

Former UFC middleweight champion Anderson “The Spider” Silva has willingly backed out of his future bout at UFC 212, as the fighter has grown a little disgruntled with the promotion. Silva has shown interest in facing “Rush” in the past, but it would appear that St-Pierre is not interested.

In a recent interview with Fancy Combat, Georges St-Pierre explained why he is not interested in facing Anderson Silva. “Eh… It could happen. It depend on the condition. Fight is about timing, you know what I mean?

“Sometime, some guys, their stock is high, some guy their stock is lower. You want the guy, their stock is the highest. It fluctuates. I don’t think his stock right now is very high. He’s a legend, stuff he has done in the past, but he’s not the same as he was back in the day.” He said.
