Less than two weeks before the UFC’s next event, a fighter has gotten injured and is forced off the card.
Mairbek Taisumov has suffered an injury and will no longer be competing in Stockholm, Sweden at a UFC Fight Night event.
Taisumov was scheduled to fight Joaquim Silva. The UFC has yet to announce whether or not they will find a replacement to fight Silva on short notice.
Taisumov was forced to withdraw from the fight due to a shoulder injury. He has not fought in over a year due to battling injuries. He is currently on a four-fight win streak in the UFC.
Silva is undefeated in his MMA career with nine wins. He is coming off a knockout win over Andrew Holbrook in July.
This UFC Fight Night event will be headlined by a pivotal light heavyweight fight featuring two former title challengers as Alexander Gustafsson fight Glover Teixeira.
