Jon “Bones” Jones and Daniel Cormier have been spurring up their feud in anticipation of a potential title fight rematch between the two mixed martial arts warriors. However, “Bones” Jones is now claiming that he is not holding up their rematch.
UFC light heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier has a single loss on his professional record. Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones went toe-to-toe at UFC at 182, with the fight ultimately going the distance. In the end, Cormier faced a unanimous decision loss.
Following the exhilarating battle, both fighters have been working hard to scrap together a rematch. Cormier and Jones were even set to face off at UFC 200. However, Jon Jones was pulled from the main event matchup, due to an anti-doping policy violation.
Now the former champion and Daniel Cormier are at each others’ throats again. With Jones coming off of his USADA enforced suspension in July, Cormier does not want the former champion to take a tune up fight, before facing him. He thinks it’s time to throw down.
In a recent tweet, Jon Jones responded to this new claim “Am I goin to sign? The question is is he going to sign. Love how he made it sound like he’s backing me into a corner.”
