Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) middleweight champion Luke Rockhold has been going through a bit of tribulation lately with the middleweight division. Now, it would appear that the former champion is more interested in fighting in another weight class.
Ever since the announcement that Georges St-Pierre would be facing middleweight champion Michael “The Count” Bisping, many of the top contenders of the division have been irked. With St-Pierre having no experience in the division and being three years removed from competition, many contenders are looking for another route to a title.
Luke Rockhold recently appeared on Airel Helwani’s The MMA Hour. In the episode, the fighter explained that he believes he will not get a chance to face the greatest fighters in the division. As a result, the former middleweight champion is considering moving divisions.
Luke Rockhold continued by explaining that he has no interest in facing anyone in the middleweight division if Michael Bisping is not forced to fight a contender or an interim title fight is not offered. He even believes the rest of the division should sway to his way of thinking.
