Mayweather Gives Update On McGregor Fight — ‘I must have patience in this, because…

Undefeated boxing phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. and Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor have been attempting to come to terms for an epic cross-promotional bout.

Conor McGregor has been taking some time off from the mixed martial arts promotion to pursue the career high payday opportunity. However, the lightweight champion’s son was also recently born. In a recent interview with Fight Hype, Floyd Mayweather supplied an update for the hopeful boxing matchup.

“Only thing I can do is have patience.” Mayweather said, “Do I believe the fight is going to happen? I really don’t know, as of right now.” Floyd Mayweather explained that Conor McGregor’s son is currently the UFC champion’s focus. After that, the two fighters will see where they are at.

Floyd Mayweather also made it clear that he is ready to sign for the fight and he is “ready to go.” However, an official announcement for the bout has still not been made. Grant it, some fans believe the fight is simply a matter time.
