On Tuesday, the auditions for the next season of The Ultimate Fighter took place in Las Vegas.
The next season of TUF will feature women fighting at 125 pounds. The winner of the competition will be crowned the first ever UFC women’s flyweight champion.
Some of the top female fighters in the world have arrived in Las Vegas to audition for the reality series.
UFC fighter Lauren Murphy is auditioning for the show. She is a former Invicta FC Bantamweight Champion. She is currently coming off a loss to bantamweight prospect Katlyn Chookagian.
Former UFC fighter, and TUF castmate, Roxanne Modaferri is also auditioning for TUF. Last Saturday, Modaferri picked up one of the biggest wins of her career when she defeated Sarah D’Alelio by TKO at Invicta FC 23.
Arguably the best women’s flyweight fighter in the world, Barb Honchak, is auditioning for TUF as well. She is a former Invicta FC flyweight champion, but she was stripped of the title due to injuries. She has not fought since 2014, but she is on a nine-fight win streak. Her win streak includes victories over Felice Herrig, Nina Ansaroff, Roxanne Modaferri, Aisling Daley, Vanessa Porto, and Leslie Smith.
Other female fighters trying out for TUF include Zoila Frausto, Christine Stanley, Sijara Eubanks and Rachael Ostovich.
The next season of TUF will begin filming this summer. The season will conclude, and a champion will be crowned, towards the end of the year.
