New Interview: Mayweather — ‘The Conor fight is on!’

Last night boxing phenom Gervonta Davis knocked out opponent Liam Walsh in a London, England matchup. Ringside, Floyd Mayweather Jr. was cheering on his protege, Gervonta Davis. Following the boxer’s victory, Mayweather Jr. provided an update on his potential bout with Conor McGregor.

UFC lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor has been attempting to set up the payday of his career over the past months. The fighter has been trying the schedule a boxing match with Floyd Mayweather Jr. It was recently revealed that the UFC president has squared things away on McGregor’s end.

However, things have yet to line up for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Now, it would appear that there is some new information from Mayweather on the subject. Directly after Gervonta Davis’ victory, Floyd Mayweather explained:

“If me and Conor McGregor do happen to make the fight happen, which I think the fight will happen, I would love for this young kid [Gervonta] Davis to be on the undercard.” Mayweather said. For the boxing phenom’s full explanation, see the video above.
