Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Conor “Notorious” McGregor has been spending some time away from the mixed martial arts promotion. During his time away, the champion has been attempting to score the payday of his career.

For the payday of his career, Conor “Notorious” McGregor has been working to schedule a boxing match with undefeated striking phenom Floyd Mayweather Jr. While the fight has not been officially announced, some believe the bout to simply be a matter of time.

Most recently, UFC competitor and mixed martial arts veteran Nick Diaz decided to give his opinion on the anticipated matchup. In an interview with Fight Hype, the fighter revealed that no one should be discredited in the matchup.

“I wouldn’t count anybody out. You have a lot of stipulations you have to look at. You can’t just jump on a hype train for either one.” Nick Diaz said, when asked about Mayweather fighting McGregor.
