Last Friday, at ONE Championship: Dynasty of Heroes, Askren took less than one round to submit the previously undefeated Thani.
In the fight, which can be watched below, Askren quickly took Thani to the ground. After landing a few shots on the ground and working for position, Askren managed to lock in an arm triangle and forced Thani to submit.
Askren is undefeated with 16 wins. His most recent win was his first successful ONE title defense. Overall, Askren has picked up three victories in the promotion.
Askren is also a former Bellator welterweight champion. He has notable Bellator title wins over Lyman Good, Jay Hieron, Andrey Korshkov, and current Bellator Welterweight Champion Douglas Lima.
