UFC strawweight Paige VanZant had an odd experience while eating lunch on Sunday.
The UFC fighter was eating lunch when a stranger walked up to her and gave her $50. VanZant shared the story on her Twitter.
“Some man just walked in while I was eating lunch and handed me $50. He said it was for Deputy Perez and listed off other names. Thoughts??” VanZant tweeted.
“He immediately walked out after, I tried to find him and ask what he meant and what it was for but he was gone.”
VanZant never revealed what she did with the money or what happened after she ate lunch.
VanZant does not currently have a fight scheduled in the UFC. She is coming off a submission loss in December to strawweight contender Michelle Waterson. However, she is still one of the top 115-pound fighters in the world. Her resume includes wins over Felice Herrig and Bec Rawlings.
