UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey posted a powerful quote on her Instagram page.
On Sunday, Rousey posted an image of a quote by Victor Hugo, a French poet and novelist.
“There is nothing more powerful than an idea whose time has come,” was the quote Rousey posted on Instagram.
There is no indication on what was going through Rousey’s mind at the time of her post.
Rousey’s MMA career has been at a crossroads since her last loss in December. At UFC 207, Rousey was defeated in just seconds by UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Amanda Nunes.
In her previous fight, Rousey lost her UFC title after getting knocked out by Holly Holm.
These two losses were the first time Rousey’s has been defeated in her MMA career. Before the losses, she was unbeaten with 12 wins. Most of her wins came in title fights.
At this time, there has been no official word by Rousey or the UFC whether or not she will continue to compete.
