Bellator 179 went down Friday night inside the Wembley Arena in London, England. The mixed martial arts promotion hosted a dominant display in its highly anticipated main event matchup.
In the main event, former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) competitor Rory “Red King” MacDonald made his debut in the mixed martial arts promotion of Bellator MMA. Now, the fighter is looking at a 1-0 record for his debut.
Rory “Red King” MacDonald put on a dominant performance in the night’s main event matchup. Out striking his opponent in the first round, “Red King” MacDonald got his opponent to the ground in the second. Then, the fighter began laying on some ground and pound.
In the end, “Red King” MacDonald submitted his opponent by way of a rear-naked choke in the second round, granting the mixed martial artist a successful Bellator MMA debut. Now, Bellator MMA has posted a before and after photo of the fighter.
