Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) welterweight competitor Rory “Red King” MacDonald has made a transition into the mixed martial arts promotion Bellator MMA. The fighter just experienced his debut with the promotion with great success.
MacDonald faced off against welterweight Paul Daley at Bellator 179 for the night’s main event. MacDonald put on a dominant performance, ultimately earning a second round submission finish over his opponent. Rory is hoping to be on his way to a shot at reigning Bellator welterweight champion Douglas Lima next.
Now it would appear that the fighter’s financial earnings have come to light. UFC competitor Kajan Johnson recently appeared on The MMA Hour. On the recent edition of the podcast, Johnson shed some light on his Tristar teammate.
Johnson revealed that Rory MacDonald is allegedly making $400,000 per fight with the Bellator promotion.
