‘The difference between me and Ronda? … I won my belt, the UFC gave her hers’

UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk recently shared some strong words towards former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

In a recent interview with TMZ, Jedrzejczyk said she feels as if she has already tied Rousey record when it comes to title defenses.

Earlier this month, at UFC 211, Jedrzejczyk defended her title for the fifth consecutive time when she won a decision against Jessica Andrade.

Rousey had six consecutive title defenses in the UFC. However since Jedrzejczyk won her title from former champion Carla Esparza and Rousey was given her UFC title, both Jedrzejczyk and Rousey have the same number of title wins in the UFC.

The reason Rousey was given the inaugural UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship was because she was the Strikeforce women’s bantamweight champion. She had won the title from Miesha Tate and later defended it against Sarah Kaufman.

In the video below, you can hear Jedrzejczyk talk about her comparison to Rousey, and what she wants in her fighting career.
