UFC welterweight prospect Emil Weber Meek will no longer be competing on May 28.
An injury has forced Meek to withdraw from his scheduled fight against Nordine Taleb at a UFC Fight Night event in Sweden.
Meek is one of the top prospects in the UFC welterweight division. He made his UFC debut in his last fight. In December, Meek won a decision against Jordan Mein.
Before joining the UFC, Meek earned an 8-2 professional MMA record. In his last fight before joining the UFC, Meek knocked out UFC veteran Rousimar Palhares.
Taleb has not yet received a replacement for May 28. This UFC Fight Night event will be headlined by a pivotal light heavyweight fight between Sweden native Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira. The event will also feature another important light heavyweight fight in the co-main event as Volkan Oezdemir fights Misha Cirkunov.
