This Is Why Being Derrick Lewis’ Coach Is The Toughest Job In MMA

It’s not easy to be a coach of “The Black Beast” Derrick Lewis.

On Thursday, Lewis posted a video of himself training on his Instagram page. In the video, Lewis is hitting pads. Lewis’ punches produce so much force that whoever is holding the pads has to be a brave man.

Lewis is one of the top prospects in the UFC heavyweight division. He is currently ranked No. 6 in the official UFC rankings.

Lewis is on a six-fight win streak in the UFC. He is coming off the biggest win of his MMA career. In February, Lewis knocked out longtime heavyweight contender Travis Browne. His win streak also includes wins over Gabriel Gonzaga and Roy Nelson.

On June 11, Lewis will headline a UFC Fight Night event in New Zealand. Lewis is scheduled to fight fellow heavyweight contender Mark Hunt.

In the video below, you can watch Lewis train for his upcoming fight.
