“Thug Rose” States Her Case For A UFC Title Shot … And She’s Kind Of Scary

UFC strawweight contender Rose “Thug Rose” Namajunas believes she should get the next shot at the UFC title.

Namajunas wants to fight the winner of Saturday’s co-main event fight between UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk and Jessica Andrade at UFC 211.

Namajunas believes she is one of the most dangerous fighters in her division.

“Even with my zombie self sometimes, I’m a dangerous mother(expletive), I tell you that,” Namajunas said during a media appearance on Thursday. “But just when I’m mentally right, there’s no one that can beat me.”

Namajunas is coming off a submission win over Michelle Waterson. The former title challenger also has UFC wins over Paige VanZant and Tecia Torres.

Namajunas admits there are other women deserving of a title opportunity, but since she hasn’t fought the current champion, she thinks she is the most deserving.

“You got Claudia (Gadelha) and Karolina (Kowalkiewicz), but they already fought the champ once before – and Claudia twice, so I don’t know. It just seems fitting.”
