MMA trainer Edmond Tarverdyan has become infamous due to what he says while in his fighter’s corners during their fights.
In December, Tarverdyan’s advice to former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey, during her title fight against Amanda Nunes, went viral.
Rousey only last 48 seconds against the current UFC women’s bantamweight champion. During those 48 seconds, Tarverdyan became famous for just yelling out, “head movement” instead of giving more detailed instructions.
Tarverdyan is also the coach of Rousey’s boyfriend, UFC heavyweight, Travis Browne.
Last July, Browne fought former UFC Heavyweight Champion Cain Velasquez. Browne would go on to lose to the former champion by TKO.
If you go back and listen to the corner audio for Browne’s fight against Velasquez, you will hear Tarverdyan give very similar advice to Browne as he did Rousey in her last fight.
In the video below, you can listen to Tarverdyan’s audio while he was cornering Browne in his fight against Velasquez.
