UFC Champ Backs Up Ronda Rousey As MMA Living Legend

UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk refuses to compare herself to former UFC Women’s Bantamweight Champion Ronda Rousey.

On Monday’s edition of The MMA Hour, Jedrzejczyk was asked about fans who compare her to Rousey. Jedrzejczyk refused to compare herself to Rousey because she believes the former champion is a “living legend”.

“Ronda Rousey, she’s still a champion to me and to so many people,” Jedrzejczyk said. “I like her so much and I cannot compare myself to one of the greatest. (A) still living legend. But, it’s nice. It’s good to hear. With every fight, I want to put on better and better performances, and put on great fights to show people who I am.”

Last Saturday, at UFC 211, Jedrzejczyk defended her UFC title for the fifth time. She won a unanimous decision against Jessica Andrade in a fight where the champion dominated from start to finish.
