The Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) just put another event in the books. UFC Fight Night 109 went down today inside the Ericsson Globe Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. The mixed martial arts promotion’s main event took home a big bonus for the day.
In the day’s main event, top UFC light heavyweight contenders Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira faced off within the octagon. Gustafsson defeated his opponent with a knockout finish in the fifth round.
Four fighters scored fight night bonuses for the day’s event. The main event match between Gustafsson and Teixeira earned honors for “Fight of the Night.”
Undercard competitors Bojan Velickovic and Damir Hadzovic earned “Performance of the Night” awards for their exciting displays within the octagon.
The UFC made the announcement after UFC Fight Night 109 took place. All four fighters earned $50,000 fight-night bonuses for their awards.
