On Saturday, at UFC 211, UFC Heavyweight Champion Stipe Miocic will defend his title against former champion Junior dos Santos.
Before the heavyweights fight for a second time, other UFC fighters were asked who they think is going to leave Texas will the heavyweight championship.
“I got to say, Stipe,” UFC featherweight Cub Swanson said. “I thought he won the first fight. I was actually furious because I couldn’t believe he didn’t win the first one. So I’m calling him for sure.”
Most fighters agreed that Miocic would most likely successfully defend his title for the second time, while some fighters were hesitant to pick a winner.
Fighters such as Frankie Edgar, John Dodson, Joe Lauzon, and Dustin Poirier all believe the champion will continue his reign.
“Everyone keeps saying he’s not this, or he’s not that, but he’s actually the truth,” Dodson said about Miocic. “He came out, he’s knocking out everybody, he’s doing phenomenal things. He’s stopping everybody. You can’t say he’s not doing anything special.”
