The UFC has signed 19-year-old Chan-Mi Jeon to fight on just over one week’s notice.
Jeon is set to fight JJ Aldrich at next Saturday’s UFC Fight Night event in New Zealand.
Jeon is from South Korea and is undefeated in her MMA career. She has five victories, with four of her wins coming by knockout or TKO.
Jeon is another knockout specialist to join the UFC from the country of South Korea. She joins UFC fighters such as Dong Hyun Kim, “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung, and “The Korean Superboy” Doo Ho Choi.
This will be Aldrich’s second fight in the UFC. The Invicta FC veteran lost her debut in the promotion back in December when she lost a decision to Juliana Lima.
This UFC Fight Night event will take place June 10. In the main event, two of the UFC’s best heavyweights will collide as Mark Hunt fights Derrick Lewis.
