UFC lightweight Kevin Lee is not happy with the publication TMZ.
On Monday, Lee sent out a tweet claiming TMZ misquoted him in one of their headlines.
In an interview with Lee, TMZ posted the headline, “UFC’s Kevin Lee Gunning For Conor McGregor, Your Baby Is A Weakness!”
“Wowwww sometimes I REALLY hate the media. NEVER EVER would I say that. This is NOT a quote!! Listen to the actual interview. (Expletive),” Lee tweeted about TMZ’s headline.
In his interview, Lee never said directly that McGregor’s child was a weakness. He actually said he’s happy for McGregor. However, he did say McGregor would be in trouble when he comes back to the UFC because while he is taking care of his child, Lee is studying film and training. Lee said he’d have an advantage against McGregor because fighting is his whole life, and McGregor now has to worry about his child.
Lee is scheduled to headline a UFC event for the first time in June. On June 25, Lee will fight lightweight contender Michael Chiesa in the main event of a UFC Fight Night event in Oklahoma City.
