On Friday, Former title challengers Alexander Gustafsson and Glover Teixeira faced off in preparation for their upcoming main event fight.
On Sunday, at a UFC Fight Night event is Stockholm, Sweden, Gustafsson and Teixeira will fight in a pivotal battle in the light heavyweight division.
Gustafsson is currently ranked No. 1 in the official UFC light heavyweight rankings. He is coming off a decision win over Jan Blachowicz back in September.
Gustafsson’s UFC career is highlighted by wins over Matt Hamill, Thiago Silva, and former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Mauricio “Shogun” Rua. He also lost two close decisions in title fights against Jon Jones and Daniel Cormier.
Teixeira is currently ranked No. 2 in the UFC light heavyweight division. He is coming off a decision win over Jared Cannonier in February.
Teixeira’s UFC resume also includes wins over Ryan Bader, Ovince Saint Preux, and former UFC champions Quinton “Rampage” Jackson and Rashad Evans.
