Watch The Muay Thai Mismatch That Had Joe Rogan Fuming Mad Last Weekend

Lion Fight 36 took place last week. In the exciting event, Muay Thai phenom Lerdsila “Mr. Lightning” Chumpairtour put on a starkly dominant performance that left some spectators confused. The decorated fighter scored a vicious KO performance in the event.

“Mr. Lightning” Chumpairtour was initially set to face Sergio Wielzen for the night’s main event. However, an injury forced Wielzen out of the match. For a replacement opponent, Jacob Hebeisen stepped into the ring.

With no professional Muay Thai fights under his belt, Hebeisen’s inclusion in the bout seemed an odd choice to some fans. Among them, UFC commentating veteran Joe Rogan had a few things to say about the matchup.

“.@LionFight, I love you guys but please don’t ever match up a guy who is 183-31-5 vs a guy with ZERO pro Muay Thai fights ever again. Thanks,” Joe Rogan said over Twitter.
