UFC President Dana White has given more details about what is next for former UFC Welterweight Champion Georges St-Pierre.
St-Pierre was expected to fight UFC Middleweight Champion Michael Bisping for his title, but the UFC has since canceled that fight due to St-Pierre not being ready to fight until the end of the year.
“He needs to decide what he wants to do in the 170-pound division,” White said talking about St-Pierre.
“I don’t know if he wants to move up in weight and fight these murderers at 185 (pounds). I think he liked the Bisping fight. I think he saw that as a fight he thought was winnable and saw Bisping as a guy who’s beatable.”
White went on to say fights with UFC Lightweight Champion Conor McGregor or former UFC Middleweight Champion Anderson Silva were possible. It all just depends on what St-Pierre wants to do once he is ready to return to the UFC.
Dana White said he expects Georges St-Pierre to fight at 170… and he also weighed in on a possible GSP-McGregor fight and a possible GSP-Anderson Silva fight.Andy Nesbitt has the details.
