UFC contender Alexander Gustafsson claims former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones has used performance-enhancing drugs.
On Wednesday, Jones went on a rant, on Twitter, talking about recent comments make by Gustafsson regarding Jones as a person and a champion.
“And here’s a little FYI, you didn’t lose against DC and I because of your cardio, it was because your lack of heart,” Jones said to Gustafsson in one of his tweets.
Gustafsson responded to Jones by saying the reason he lost to Jones, was not because of his cardio, but because of the absence of USADA drug testing.
In 2013, Jones defended his title against Gustafsson. Jones went on to win a decision in a fight that many referred to as the best fight of the year.
Jones is currently suspended by USADA for one year due to failing an anti-doping drug test last July. Jones claims the failed test was the result of him taking a male enhancement sex pill.
Last Sunday, Gustafsson picked up on of the biggest wins of his UFC career. In his hometown of Stockholm, Sweden, Gustafsson knocked out fellow former title challenger Glover Teixeira.
Jones is scheduled to fight UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Daniel Cormier in the main event of UFC 214 on July 29.
No my friend, against you it was because of the absence of @usantidoping
