Former UFC Lightweight Champion Anthony Pettis looks to be in great shape leading up to his next fight.
On Thursday, Pettis shared a photo on his Instagram, which can be seen below, showing that he has gained quite a bit of muscle since his last fight.
Pettis appears to be in much better shape now than during his stint as a featherweight. While attempting to make 145 pounds, Pettis’ body looked depleted. Now that Pettis is returning to the lightweight division, he looks as if he may be in better shape now than when he was the world champion.
Pettis is scheduled to fight Jim Miller at UFC 213 on July 8 in Las Vegas.
Pettis is currently coming off of a TKO loss to UFC Featherweight Champion Max Holloway back in December. He had missed weight for this interim title fight which led to his decision to move back to 155-pounds.
As a lightweight, Pettis has defeated some of the best fighters in the world including Benson Henderson, Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone, and Gilbert Melendez.
